After studying art in the state, he practiced his profession in the United States and Europe for ten years. His works have been in exhibitions in several cities, including, Paris, Brussels, and San Francisco.

One of his most recognized works was "2051 migrantes", inaugurated in 2007 and which consisted of the elaboration of that number of clay figures that evoked a good part of the population of his native community in Oaxaca that had emigrated to other cities of the country and the United States.
